Oris Williams Word of Motor Sports Exhibition

From the 1st of January – 31st of March, independent Swiss watch brand Oris is bringing its latest motorsport collection to Oriental Watch flagship store in 555 Nathan Road Kowloon, including the all new Oris Williams Chronograph Carbon Fibre Extreme. It is Oris’s first lightweight carbon fibre watch.  The watch’s case is made of carbon fibre and titanium, but not just any carbon fibre. Oris has developed and patented a carbon fibre manufacturing technique and never before seen in watchmaking. Oris’s technique has been designed to exploit the full potential of carbon fibre - rigidity and water-tightness. Besides, the new Oris Diver Sixty Five collection will also be presented at the exhibition. The new Oris Divers Sixty-Five shares the retro looks of the 1960s original, but it’s been modernised using 21st century watchmaking techniques. It is a revival of an iconic diver’s watch that first appeared in the Oris collection 50 years ago.

Receive a limited edition F1 Williams model car or an Audi R18 e-tron Le Mans model car for free upon purchase any designated Oris watches. The gift is only available while stocks last.

Oris Williams Chronograph Carbon Fibre Extreme

Oris first partnered with the iconic Williams Formula 1 Team in 2003. The collection carrying the team name was launched in 2015 to bring the speed, power and technology of a Williams racecar to a wristwatch. Oris has developed and patented a carbon fibre manufacturing technique for the watch’s middle case. To make this unique, high-performance carbon fibre composite, sheets of woven carbon fibre reinforced polymer are layered manually in individual moulds in two steps and then twice hardened under five bar of pressure at 130°C in special ovens. The use of fibre waves rather than shreds ensures the material is solid, with no hollow spaces. Each watch-case middle part is individually made by hand. Williams blue on the chronograph hands and counters completes the watch’s sporty design language.

Oris Divers Sixty-Five

Oris Divers Sixty-Five – a revival of an iconic diver’s watch that first appeared in the Oris collection 50 years ago. The case is now a more contemporary 40mm in diameter, and it’s made of anti-corrosive stainless steel. The vintage-inspired bubble-curved glass is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and comes with anti-reflective coating on the inside to reduce glare and increase legibility underwater. One significant update is the new watch’s unidirectional rotating bezel, which has a black aluminium inlay with a 60-minute scale. The original’s tritium-filled hands and indices have also been updated, and are now filled with “Light Old Radium” Super-LumiNova® that contrasts with the black dial and maximises legibility.
