TORIC TECNICA CARPE

In keeping with the Haute Horlogerie tradition, special attention has been paid to the back of the watch. The hinged double case-back is both engraved and enamelled. It features a stylised, geometric aquatic leaf pattern. Each line and vein on the leaves reflects the light, creating an illusion of depth. The blue and green match the colours of the dial, and the leaves feature three drops of green enamel, in contrast to the two drops on the adjacent blue background, in order to give the foliage a convex surface. The hand-worked white gold enhances the decoration with its shimmering accents. In the interest of complete harmony, the lugs and buckle also reiterate the dial’s foliage pattern. Left in its natural state, without enamel, the gold reveals a patina which brings masculinity to the piece.

Hidden beneath the decorative flora and fauna is a mechanical movement equipped with four complications that embody the essence of the watchmaker’s art: a minute repeater, a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar and a chronograph. This exceptional movement features Haute Horlogerie finishes. All of the bridges are hand-bevelled. And for the ultimate touch of sophistication, they are engraved with decorative foliage reminiscent of the captivating scene found on the dial. (Unique piece).

TONDA TOURBILLON SOLO DE JAZZ

Marquetry is a highly precise craft which has no room for improvisation; it requires heightened sensitivity, even a level of intuition. The artist must choose each grain of wood based on the atmosphere to be communicated. The musician’s face is made from pear, a smooth wood perfect for representing skin, but the moustache which gives him his character is walnut. Walnut is also used for the natural effect of the folds of his shirt, whilst the jacket is made from tinted birch. Ceylon lemon tree wood and boxwood are used for the trumpet. Lastly, maple brings the urban landscape to life with amazing realism. As he composes his symphony in different types of wood, the marquetry craftsman anticipates. He understands the variations the wood’s palette will undergo, pre-empting changes in colour.

Created within Parmigiani’s centre for industrial craftsmanship, in line with the great tradition of excellence which characterises the Brand, this timepiece owes its reliability and precision to its hand-wound PF510 movement. The Côtes de Genève decoration and the hand-bevelled bridges are just two features which demonstrate its allegiance to the world of Haute Horlogerie. To ensure pleasure in every aspect, the Tonda Tourbillon Solo de Jazz is supplied with a Havana brown Hermès alligator strap with a rose gold ardillon buckle. With just one piece available, this timepiece unites time and tempo like no other. (Unique piece).

TONDA 1950 TOURBILLON

Parmigiani presents the new TONDA 1950 flying Tourbillon, it integrates the world’s thinnest 3.4mm automatic flying tourbillon caliber with micro-rotor and the world’s lightest 0.255 g titanium tourbillon cage. From design to production, each stage involved designers, engineers and master watchmakers working in complete harmony to breathe life into this slim masterpiece.
The micro-rotor in 950 platinum which winds the movement is the component that determines the thinness of the movement PF517. It is directly integrated in the main plate, without adding to the thickness with an extra layer. In design terms, the development is certainly attractive. However, it actually represents a significant challenge. The limited space had to be managed by integrating the micro-rotor, the barrel, the tourbillon cage, the time-setting mechanism and the central display system in the same main plate.

With its streamlined middle and clean lines, the Tonda 1950 Tourbillon is the result of the quest for simplicity and elegance that characterises this collection. The Tonda 1950 Tourbillon is now available with five dial versions: grey mother of pearl, white or black jade, grained white, and blue abyss with Côtes de Genève decoration.
