2017 Timepiece Exhibition

Montblanc TimeWalker Collection

The Montblanc TimeWalker Collection symbolizes the spirit of racing and harks back to these instruments of glory by offering a line of new professional watches for the modern performer that take their inspiration from Minerva’s outstanding history. The Minerva Manufacture was known as an exclusive workshop that produced high-quality instruments for measuring brief intervals of time with remarkable precision. Minerva watches were the reference in the field of horological innovation, with numerous patents registered over the years in the domain of precision timers, creating a legacy of savoir-faire.

 

Montblanc Summit Smartwatch

In 2017, Montblanc continues to innovate with the launch of its first smartwatch—the Montblanc Summit—combining the Android Wear™ 2.0, Google’s latest operating system for smartwatches, and the classic and vintage look, creating a digital interpretation of fine watchmaking. Providing the perfect alchemy between the design codes of traditional fine timekeeping, premium materials and state-of-the-art technology, this luxury smartwatch is a distinguished timepiece that is powered by the most advanced technologies on the market.

Continuing the motor racing theme, the new Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph Automatic is rooted in the world of racing with details that recall the golden years of motoring with a chronograph function that is legible and stylish for today’s gentlemen drivers. The vintage car codes are visible throughout the watch, starting with the 43 mm stainless steel case that has been satinated for an automotive look and better resistance to scratches.

The Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph Automatic is powered by the calibre MB 25.07 and comes with a choice of three different strap options: perforated leather, perforated rubber, and a new performance metal bracelet with three links.

To reach high reliability and performance, each Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph Automatic is water-resistant to 100 metres and has been rigorously tested by the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500, simulating real-life wear for over 500 hours.

 

 

                      

 

The high-contrast and 1.39” large AMOLED display delivers vivid and brilliant colours for the finest visual experience. Furthermore, the AMOLED display is covered by a curved sapphire glass, a world-first in smartwatches.

The Montblanc Summit features a full round touch-screen display. Each timepiece has a water-resistant standard of IP68 making it resilient to the splashes of everyday life. The watch  features a microphone for voice commands and numerous sensors: a heart-rate monitor, and sensors for measuring steps and activities; a gyroscope and a compass to measure the orientation of your watch; a barometer that can indicate the altitude, and an ambient light sensor that automatically adapts the brightness of your screen according to the lighting conditions. Android Wear 2.0 is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones, and is available in numerous languages, so everyone can enjoy fine timekeeping in the digital era.
