Oriental Watch Company x BVLGARI Pop-Up Octo Café

BVLGARI has collaborated with Oriental Watch Company to open a pop-up Octo Café in the watch company’s flagship boutique in Central from now to 31st October, allowing the guests to enjoy a special coffee tour by coffee master while appreciating sophisticated timepiece novelties.

Held in Oriental Watch Company’s flagship boutique in Central, the penthouse lounge has transformed into Octo Café that manifests genuine Italian style with BVLGARI’s unique DNA. A renowned coffee master has prepared handmade coffee of various tastes and aromas for the guests and shared with them the master’s coffee voyage. From the venue decorations to the delicious looking latte art, the theme is thoroughly presented through the BVLGARI and Octo collection as well as the majestic roman eight-pointed star, inviting the guests to fully satiate the Italian La Dolce Vita lifestyle that is dear to the Jeweller of Time. 2020 novelties including BVLGARI Aluminium and Octo Finissimo Steel watches were showcased in the exhibition.

BVLGARI Aluminium Watch

The new BVLGARI Aluminium watch 2020 reignites the fire lit back in 1998 by the first-generation models. The new BVLGARI Aluminium watch is smart and cool, immediately recognisable as part of the BVLGARI DNA while embodying sophisticated, sporty and modern expression. Between the two generations of BVLGARI Aluminium watch, the design has been changed in order to improve the comfort on the wrist thanks to reshaped lugs to adapt to the new case size. The 2020 versions no longer house a mechatronic-quartz movement but instead a mechanical self-winding movement, an evolution enabled by the now fully integrated Manufacture BVLGARI. Last, the aluminium alloy is more resistant and the rubber technical features have been improved as well.

Octo Finissimo Steel

Fuelled by passion, and driven by excellence and artistry, Octo Finissimo continues to shift the paradigm of modern-day watchmaking with its latest Octo Finissimo Steel, featuring the thinnest automatic movement and a water resistance of 100 metres, made possible by increasing the case just slightly to 6.4mm and adding a screw-down crown. Having won more than 50 awards since 2014, Octo redefined the men’s watches landscape, and set new parameters for contemporary, urban watches. Following the polished lacquered black dial and satin-polished rose gold models launched earlier this year, the Octo Finissimo Automatic Satin-Polished Steel is now offered with a polished lacquered blue dial. These releases very much demonstrate that BVLGARI is hitting a big turning point for the collection – one in which discreet luxury can be versatile too.
