TAKE YOUR TIME to Volunteer with Heart: OWC x HKCIN “Algae Growth Journey” Workshop

Oriental Watch Company recently partnered with the HKCIN to organize the “Algae Growth Journey” Workshop. Volunteers from Oriental Watch Company accompanied primary school students on an eye-opening journey into the microscopic world, exploring the wonders of life science through microscope observation and hands-on microalgae cultivation experiments, while gaining an engaging, interdisciplinary learning experience.

Throughout the workshop, students developed a foundation in scientific inquiry by engaging in detailed observation, data recording, and cultivating microalgae themselves. When faced with challenges during the cultivation process, they collaborated to find solutions, fostering teamwork and critical thinking.

This meaningful experience not only deepened students’ understanding of science and environmental sustainability, but also helped them build confidence through practical experience, leaving them with a strong sense of achievement and an unforgettable lesson.
