Ulysse Nardin has partnered with Oriental Watch Company to open its Hong Kong first boutique in ELEMENTS.

Ulysse Nardin, the independent and integrated Haute Horlogerie Swiss Manufacture, has partnered with Oriental Watch Company to open its new boutique housed inside the prestigious ELEMENTS, the prime location of Kowloon. As the only boutique in Hong Kong, its modern interior is furnished with the brand’s signature nautical elements, allowing customers to immerse in the philosophy of the brand while appreciating its impeccable craftsmanship and mesmerizing designs behind every luxury timepiece. Matthieu Haverlan, Chief Growth Officer of the brand, attends the opening ceremony to witness the special moment among brand lovers.

Since 1846, Ulysse Nardin has been widely regarded as an expert in marine chronometers manufacture, sharing inseparable ties with the ocean. Apart from marine chronometers, Ulysse Nardin’s relentless pursuit of precision is also evident in other timepieces, Astrolabium Galileo Galilei launched as early as in 1985 is enlisted into the Guinness Book of Records for its complexity; in 1996 the launch of the world’s first perpetual watch with a single crown for bi-directional date adjustment; in 2001, FREAK has broken every traditional rule of watchmaking with its disruptive design, the act also shook the world of Swiss watching making manufacture. The Freak ONE launched this year has been awarded by the jury of the GPHG, the most prestigious event in the watch industry calendar, as the winner of the ‘iconic’ category. This model represents the centre of gravity of the independent Manufacture that benefits from unparalleled in-house expertise.

The new Ulysse Nardin is located in ELEMENTS, where high couture, luxury jewellery and watches are concentrated. Spanning across 870 sq. ft., the minimalist interior exudes a contemporary sophistication and pays homage to the oceans and seas, a source the brand has had deep ties with for over 170 years. Decorated with grey stonework and matte gold finishes, the storefront is created with an air of natural grandeur. As a nod to the oceanic origins of the brand, Ulysse Nardinian blue is adopted as the main colour for showcases, then contrasted against countertops made of metal and stonework, as well as display cabinets in the shape of underwater treasure chests.

Irregular globe pendants resemble the rising bubbles in the sea, a symbol for the endless circle of life, creating a fantastical underwater atmosphere to the store. A campaign photo of the brand’s famed FREAK collection is placed in the focal point, inviting brand lovers to ponder upon the exquisite craftsmanship of the legendary piece. In addition, a VIP section is set up in the store, providing ample space for guests to appreciate the watches and designs in a comfortable setting, to fully indulge in the exceptionally curated shopping experience.
